Brief //
To develop a creative postcard and a product brochure for Seibu Furniture. Aim of postcard to give a 'sneak preview' of the collection; client also wanted the postcard to be a 'collector's item' that interior designers would want to keep on their noticeboard. Aim of product brochure to showcase the key items in the company's product line; the brochure needed to tie in with the postcard.
Solution //
The tagline 'Simply inspiring' was developed to capture the essence and distinctiveness of Seibu Furniture's product line. The postcard integrates everyday imagery with snapshots of the product range in an abstract, mosaic design. In contrast, the product brochure uses a much cleaner and simpler layout that utilises white space and typesetting to achieve a look that is still fresh, bold, and vibrant but also modern, clean, and professional. Creative copy was written to support the overall look and feel of the design.
Result //
The postcard and product brochure complement each other effectively and together, they position Seibu Furniture as a supplier of designer-style office furniture that is modern, inspiring, flexible, efficient, and unique. The client loved both promotional pieces. The postcard was launched first at the inDesign exhibition to build brand and product awareness. The product brochure has now also been distributed to the company's sales agents and resellers for their use.
